The RCIA [Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults] process is one of discovery and discernment, and does not commit anyone to becoming a Catholic. The fact is that many people have felt a call from God in their lives to join the Church. Others have felt a call to complete their journey, perhaps never having received First Communion and/or Confirmation.
RCI is For . . .
- Persons not baptized and interested in the Catholic Faith.
- Persons baptized in a different religion who would like to become Catholic.
- Persons baptized in the Catholic Church but did not receive First Communion and/or Confirmation.
The process of study and prayer that takes place within the RCIA program, hopefully leads an individual to a better understanding of what it means to be a Catholic. The first step in the RCIA process begins with a period of Inquiry. If you are interested in learning more about the Catholic Faith, or know someone who is, please plan on attending a Night of Inquiry on Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at 7:00 p.m.
